Born in Tokyo. Has studied in San Diego California from age 15 (went high school and college) and start to play golf at same time. Played high school and college golf team. Came back to Tokyo age 22 worked at golf course and started to teaching career from 1992.

Left golf industry from age 25 to 35, came back to teaching golf from 2004 in Tokyo. Joined member of Japan PGA from 2016 (teaching professional class A with junior lesson certificate) Trying to qualify the senior JPGA tour member last two years as tournament player.

Ray joined the Leadbetter Golf Academy in June 2018 and uses his experience combined with his Japan PGA and Leadbetter training to provide students exceptional golf instruction.
